"Ramu Devaiah inherited his father's loom at the age of fourteen and has never looked back. Over 38 years, he has mastered the art of weaving intricate zari borders that shimmer like liquid gold. His sarees have been worn at royal functions, wedding ceremonies across Karnataka, and are now sought after by collectors worldwide. He trains young artisans free of charge, believing that knowledge must flow like silk — freely and beautifully."
Third generation weaver. His son Kiran is now learning the craft, representing the fourth generation of the Devaiah family to continue this legacy.
